We are excited to announce that this year's “Best of Sedalia” will be very different from previous year’s program.

This year we will have all digital voting through our website. The electronic balloting logs IP addresses and only allows a participant to nominate and vote once per day. We can see who is winning but we cannot change the outcome.

In addition, there will be 3 phases to program. PHASE ONE is the nomination phase, PHASE 2 is the voting phase and PHASE 3 will be the print special section and winners website where we promote and celebrate our winners all year long. The 3-phase approach gives you plenty of time to nominate and vote for your favorite businesses.

Nomination Rules:

• You have until July 19 at 11:59 pm to make your nominations. Any nomination request sent in after the nomination period will not be accepted. Sign up for the Best of Sedalia newsletter to make sure you don't miss out next year. Go to SedaliaDemocrat.com/newsletters to sign up!

• You can nominate your favorites once per day per category.

• Nominated businesses must be located within Pettis County, MO.

• All nominees will then go on to the voting round.

Voting Rules:

The voting phase will begin on July 22 and run until August 16 at 11:59 pm.

Winners:

The Sedalia Democrat will publish a special section with all the winners and place on SedaliaDemocrat.com. There will also be a winners website celebrating the top winners in each category all year long.
